# Cookie notice

## In short

OnlyMCP sets **no** trackers, no analytics services and no advertising
cookies. That is why there is deliberately **no cookie banner**: strictly
necessary cookies do not require consent, and we do not use anything else.

## What is actually set

**Session cookie** (necessary): contains your sign-in identifier for the web
interface. Without it, signing in to the web interface is impossible. It is
protected against access by scripts, transmitted only over encrypted
connections, and expires automatically. OnlyMCP sets no other cookies.

## Browser storage

In addition, your browser stores your chosen interface language, your chosen
colour scheme (light/dark) and how you left the memory view (the chosen
scope, the open folders, and whether the graph is shown) locally. These are
not cookies, are never transmitted to OnlyMCP, and stay only on your device.

## Access through your MCP client

The sync endpoint used by your MCP client does not work with this cookie but
with its own device or API token. That is not a cookie and is not set

## If this changes

As soon as analytics or marketing tools are added, the legal situation
changes and real consent will be collected. This document will be updated
then.
